| Effective Immediately 29th B Judicial District Henderson, Polk, & Transylvania Counties Traffic citations for speeds in excess of 89 MPH are currently being transferred by the District Attorney (Prosecutor) from Traffic/Admin. Court to Criminal Court. Such violations of NC Law in addition to suspension and or revocation of driving privileges are Class 2 Misdemeanors providing a maximum punishment of 60 days in Jail and a fine of $1,000.00. |
